What did I learn from this experience (mentoring, class, readings)?

The portfolio is a record that reflects the progress you have made over the course of the semester. Your portfolio will include your communication log and weekly post-meeting evaluation sheets that describe what you did with your Scholar(s) each week. You will also include a reflection paper that summarizes your experience this semester. There is no set word count for this paper, but you will probably need a minimum of three pages and hopefully no more than five or six pages to adequately describe and reflect on this experience. You should also include descriptions or copies of some of the activities you have done with your Scholars (e.g. a time management activity, a study guide, etc). We understand that depending on your school and grade placement, you may have had more or fewer mentoring sessions available or more opportunities to be creative than some of your peers and we will consider your particular context when grading. If you were not able to meet with Scholars on a regular basis, you can devote more of your paper to what you learned from class.
