Please do a Google search and see what differences you can find between President Trump and President Obama (in terms of fiscal policy). Please share what differences you have found. What are the short and long-term implications their policies?

First Student:

There has long been a tension in the United States over the right to freely express opinions and societal norms regarding what type of speech is acceptable in the public domain, especially concerning speech targeted at marginalized groups in society, such as racial and ethnic minorities. While laws related to hate speech define the boundary between expressing opinion and inciting violence, the use of inflammatory speech that does not reach the threshold of legal prohibition is constrained only by strong social norms of equality and tolerance (Mendelberg Reference Mendelberg2001Links to an external site.). These norms proscribe the explicit expression of racial prejudice and open engagement in discriminatory behavior. At the mass level, scholarship finds that awareness of these norms, along with concerns about behaving in a socially desirable manner, have played an important role in suppressing the expression of overt prejudice in the post-Civil Rights era (Kinder and Sanders Reference Kinder and Sanders1996Links to an external site.; Schuman et al. Reference Schuman1997Links to an external site.). At the elite level, we have seen these dynamics play out on the campaign trail, as elite communication has substantially gravitated away from the use of explicit racial appeals (Jamieson Reference Jamieson1992Links to an external site.; Mendelberg Reference Mendelberg2001Links to an external site.). While norms are generally entrenched, the preservation of a ‘norm environment’ requires continued reinforcement of the norm, especially by authoritative societal actors like political elites

Second Student:

On both sides, we can easily distinguish between the principles laid down by our policy. The population (Donald Trump) tried to increase the taxes that others could take, based on their policy of recovering taxes. Their perspective has been expanded to increase the United States defense budget to give the US the ability to control terrorism and that’s why they have shown the same in their defense spending. The health system will remain the same, but changes in cost structure, including changes to effective policies, can be affected in some way. Since Trump supports businesses across the country, IPT will allow them to improve their economy for a long time, because of the aggressive policies of the Trump administration, which can put pressure on relations with the EU and China, which can affect trade and therefore there could be instability in the economy.

Both the short and long-term values are different and we can understand them by defining their needs. The Obama administration had failed to help the survivor of terrorism as much as they wanted, but the Trump administration is focusing on its efforts, which are reflected in their defense spending. The health system will remain the same, but changes in cost structure, including changes to effective policies, can be affected in some way. Since Trump supports businesses across the country, IPT will allow them to improve their economy for a long time, because of the aggressive policies of the Trump administration, which can put pressure on relations with the EU and China, which can affect trade and therefore there could be instability in the economy.
